This is Ron Taylor
This is Ron Taylor.
Or as many knew him—Captain Goldtooth.
He wasn’t just a potter. He was a pirate, a performer, and a living legend of the Renaissance circuit. But more than that, he was the first person who showed me that art could be a life—not just a hobby.
Ron threw clay like it mattered. He dressed like the world was his stage. He lived completely on his own terms.
He didn’t chase the gallery scene or the big checks. He built a handmade world full of love, fire, and freedom. Every piece he made carried that energy—raw, honest, and alive.
Dead Idols wouldn’t exist without him.
This whole project is lit by the spark he passed on.
For those who left their mark—this one’s for you, Captain.
If you’ve ever met someone who changed the way you see your craft—or your life—hold onto that. Dead Idols is my way of carrying the torch.
